Rhyming Reels Georgie Porgie

Georgie Porgie is yet another great Microgaming release from the Rhyming Reels series. Even though I am not personally a fan of any games from the series, they are quite successful among Casino players and it’s not hard to understand why.

Georgie Porgie for example is a decent looking slot game, with a 5×3 Reels and 15 paylines system that will make you smile. Not only because it features some great graphics, and the symbols from your reels are good looking and some of them pretty funny, but also because you could end up taking home some pretty nice rewards due to the nice extra features you will find in the game.

It looks a bit cartoonish, which is pretty spot on considering its main character is Georgie Porgie, the hero of the classic children’s nursery rhyme, a slightly overwheight and unpopular boy who steals a kiss from one of the most popular girls. The storyline is followed pretty accurately in the slot and you will enjoy playing it for hours.

The game is not as packed with action as other more recent Microgaming releases, but it has a decent gameplay and even though in my experience the variance is pretty low compared to other competitors, I must admit I had fun playing it and that is what matters.

As usual, on your way to greater rewards, you will first encounter the Wild symbol, which is the actual game logo. The Wild symbol substitutes itself for any other symbol on your reels in order to get you more winning combinations in base-game and more substantial prizes.

To compensate for the fact that Georgie Porgie does not offer a standard bonus game, each win you will get with the Wild symbol substituting will be automatically multiplied 5 times.

On top of this, hitting 5 Wild symbols on any paying line, automatically rewards you with a Jackpot worth 75,000 Coins!

For those of you who want to make this game more thrilling and feel lucky enough to try and double the prizes, the game offers a Gamble feature. This is where as usual, you can double or even quadruple you win if you guess the color of the next card that is dealt and where you can make up for your losses from base-game if you are on a downswing.

I am not a fan personally of the gamble feature in any slot game, but I must admit I used it successfully a couple of times in Georgie Porgie and it was worth it.

There is also a Free Spins bonus round available, where 3 or more Scatter symbols will award 15 to 25 free spins. The Scatter is Georgie’s pack of mints and there are some sweet prizes to be won thanks to this Free Spins round. First of all, if you hit another Scatter on your reels, you will automatically receive an extra free spin with a 2x multiplier added.

This can be extremely rewarding especially if you are lucky enough to get a winning combination featuring a Wild card on your already multiplied free spin. Any wins from the Free Spins round where the Wild is substituting is multiplied 25 times, and the rewards can be extremely impressive.

Even though I said at the beginning of the review that I wasn’t necessarily a fan of the Rhyming Reels series, I must admit that Georgie Porgie did manage to change my mind a little bit. I had a great time playing this slot, and even though I didn’t hit any massive prizes, I highly recommend you to try your luck too.
